The First Lady Gospel Stage Play Tour Postponed (Dates TBD)

Announcing Rescheduled date of The “First Lady” Gospel Stage Play from June 23, 2012 to A Date TBA later this summer.

Dear Guests,

We are excited about the upcoming presentation of “The First Lady” featuring Taimak. The premier was a success in Brooklyn, New York. The tour dates have been rearranged since we have been fortunate enough to add new cities to the tour.    For this reason we have postponed our upcoming shows date in North Carolina and elsewhere. We will make this worth your while and are happy to announce we still have our major cast members for the duration of the tour. Tickets purchased will be honored.

The stage play will now take place later this summer ( Date TBA) (3:00pm & 8:00pm) Garner Performing Arts Center 742 W. Garner Road Garner, NC 27529 (919.661.4602) TIME: Two Shows: 3:00pm & 8:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) at Garner Performing Arts Center. The rescheduled event, however, may feature some of the same artist in the preshow along with more exciting surprises.

All tickets purchased will be honored for the new event date. They can be picked up at Will Call or you may inbox us if you would like them shipped to your address.  Once the date is announced, please let us know in a reply to this email and confirm that you will attend the same show for either 3pm or 8pm. If your availability has changed please inbox us so we may accommodate you.

 Obsidian Media Group in association with Ambiance World Productions, Inc. present “THE FIRST LADY”, a gospel musical, written and directed with original music by AUDELCO award winner Lawrence Floyd.The gospel stage play is about Preacher’s Wives.  The play is set in On Solid Rock, a small storefront church in a small town until three new members join. THE FIRST LADY is a story of infidelity, secrets, revelations and healing as the members strive to adapt to a changing world and hold on to their church in the face of adversity and scandal.

This powerful, inspiring play with music features, Taimak, “Bruce Leroy” from the cult classic movie, The Last Dragon, Ashley Nicole Jeffrey, Gossip Girl, Law & Order, Amber A. Harris, Ken Alston Jr., Czech Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony, Michael Alexis Palmer, All My Children, Law & Order SVU, Neil Dawson (AUDELCO Award Winner) and rising star Cedrina S. Baugh who has performed with Donnie McClurkin and Cece Winans and N.C. native Ashley Marshell.

The creative team consists of Josue Jasmin, choreography; Jeff Bolding and Kelvyn Bell, sound design; Roderick Warner, scenic design; Antoinette Tynes, lighting design; Damion Sanders, costume design; Bayo, Production Manager; Tony Davidson, Tech. Director; T. Renee’ Mathis Associate Producer and Crystal Bodie-Smith, Project Liaison.
